Amelia sighed. "You've said that quite a few times, y'know." she said, rolling her eyes. She automaticaly searched the area for another stranger, hearing Dakah. There was a slight movement behind the tree. Automaticaly wishing she knew how to use that mind-speech Dakah used, as to answer his questions, she tried to think of something to say, and failed.

Dakah tilted his head to the side and squawked, pretending he didn't know the male's question. In reality though, he began to inspect the human, tryinng to see if he himself was familiar to Dakah. : MIa...Zane...I believe we may have found another old friend... : He finally stated, his keen eyes easily noticing the shade of purple around his eyes.
The hawk then gazed back at Nyssa. Now that he thought about it, she did look familiar as well...
: Tell me, and please do not be scared, do your eyes sometimes turn pink when you're angry? : Dakah finally gave in to his curiousity, and adressed only Tobee.

"Sorry," she mumbled, looking Amelia in the eye, really meaning it. "It's not like me to obsess over a bird." Talking or not, she added silently. She was certain that it had really talked just now, before she had said that. God, was she going crazy or what? She looked up at the tree with the ever talking hawk. She sighed.

By now, Tobee was certain the speech in his head could only be coming from the bird. As the question was posed, a guarded look crossed Tobee's face. How did he know? Very few people knew that small fact of his, not even his cousin who lived with him. The boy opened examined the bird, questions whirring around in his brain. It was a simple question, hardly out of the ordinary. After several long seconds, Tobee decided nothing could really be hurt if he told the bird the truth. "Yes," he finally murmured, "yes they do."

: Hm... : Returning to what was believed was his true form, the kafit wrapped his tail around a branch and swung down, hoping he was right in his assumption that the two there once answered to the names Amai and Kuro.
: I don't suppose that the name 'Kuro' rings a bell, does it? : He the turned to face the girl, blinking a few times. : Tell me, and do not be scared, do you have bad vision at night, but better then an average human's at day? :

"Kuro, Kuro, hmm." Tobee rolls the name in his mouth for a moment. He almost doesn't want to, but truth be told, the name was incredibly familair. "Actually, yes," Tobee finally answered, looking up at the creature. Surprise flitted in his eyes as he saw Dakah in his true form, confused that the shapeshifter looked even more familair. "Who's Kuro?" ooc; Sorry, short.

Familiar, Tyler thought. Yeah. The random guy Dakah dropped a rodent on looked more familiar than just another guy at school. Not pleasently so, either. He probably should have approached him sooner, but Tyler chose now to walk over to him. The girls were still talking about the "talking bird." Did it take most people that long to accept the unexpected? "Hey," he said to the guy, trying to place him in his memory. "What'd he say to you?" ((refering, of course, to Dakah))

Amelia held her breath. Dakah must have seen something framiliar about the two strangers as she did. Obviously, his cover was blown. She let her breath out. "Guys, stop hiding behind the tree. I know you're there." She spun around and poked her head around to the other side. "'Ello." (( Writer's block. x-x ))

(Bleh, it's infected me now -_-)
: Just a few questions... : Dakah stated, referring to what he had told Tobee, and was now preening his wings with his beak. Upon giving what was his version of a smile, one would have noticed he had a thin row of teethinside his beak, another abnormalty.
Squawking in suprise at the sudden appearence of Amelia, the kafit almost fall off, and had to fly off and return to the branch, swinging upside down on it. : Please do not do that, I still have instincts. :

(( It must be writer's flu! RUN! )) "My bad." said Amelia, shrugging. "Sorry." "Well, newcomer, my name is Amelia. Nice to meet'ch'ya." She smiled widely, obviously excited. More people who were going through this experience. More proof it wasn't a dream. (( Shortness. Sorry. ))

(I've been hit! *Crashes to the ground* NUUUU!)
: Well, assuming my instincts and old age are right....Now all we need is Dain to appear...and Tikian, I believe she has been gone for a while... : The hawk gave a small sigh and started to stare into space, clearly something important on his mind.
: I wonder...They were blessed with the elemental gifts as well... : He swung back onto the branch, landing expertly on the branch almost lazily. : Zane, being the oldest here, try to imagine a large ferret. See if you can contact it with your mind... : He had forgotten they didn't have much knowledge on their ancient powers.

Tyler siddled out. "I wasn't hiding," he protested. "I was just watching." He then stared at Dakah. "A ferret?" he asked. "What does that have to do with anything?" Maybe he would turn into one if he thought about it. It would make as much sense as anything else. Ferrets were small, smelly carnivors, but at least they weren't prey. ((It is writer's flu. I think I have it, too.))

"Aw Gee, can't a guy get some sleep around here?" Something small and grey almost magically apeared on the same branch as Dakah, muttering about how inconsiderate some people were. : Hah hah! It worked! : The kafit gave a small chuckle, shuffling past the creature until he was leaning against the trunk.
"Always were the insane one weren't you?" On closer inspection, it appeared to be a grey ferret, whose eyes seemed to glow a bright green as he leaped down from the branch, landing beside Tyler. "Zane." It gave a bow. "You called?"

Tyler stared. A long grey line of fur had just appeared on the branch. And then spoke, with a little raspy, shifty...well, ferret-y voice. For some reason this was harder to take than the telepathic hawk-thing that was Dakah. The grey line jumped around in the tree, landing on a branch next to him. It called him Zane, just like Dakah. "Um....Did I?" he said to it. "I certainly didn't mean to...I mean, uh...Who are you? Why are you talking? Specifically to me?"

"Well, who I am, depends on you." Not realising how confusing the ferret was being, it stood on two legs and leaned against the tree trunk in a human-like manner, a bored, if that was possible, expression on it's face. It paused for a while, glancing up at Dakah every now and then which hinted the two were talking telepathically to each other.
"I used to have a name and equal powers to you and all that junk, along with some cool, unique markings you decided on, but now you've got to choose them again because you went out and died." It was clear the ferret was rather out-going and happy to talk to just about anyone about anything.
(Decide, and his yours ^^ *Shoves ferret in The Doctor's direction*)

Although Tobee was sure he'd never seen any of these people in his life, each of them seemed familair. "Hey," he replied after taking a moment to see if he could place a name to the face. "He asked if the name 'Kuro' rang a bell. Somehow, it does." Tobee looked to the other boy as if he could clear this all up. Perhaps he could, but why did everything seem like a de-ja-vu?
"Hmm, questions? What kind of questions?" Tobee asked Dakah, "And who are you?" ooc; Bleh. It must be contagious. x.x

"Get out of the house. Do something. Find some friends. Whatever," his mother had pleaded as she practically pushed him out the door. So Will had. It wasn't exactly interesting, but it was better than sitting around the house. When he had seen the entrance to the park, he had entered, thinking it would be a nice relief from the boring view of the street. It was, he thought as he walked further in, quite pleasant. His aimless wandering began to take on a straight path, though he followed no marked path. He strained his eyes, feeling the way he felt when he had decided to look for something but, by the time he got around to it, was at a loss to figure out what. Finally, something clicked in place. He couldn't put his finger on why, but a certain tree stood out, and not just because of the group of people surrounding it. It was like the reasoning in a dream: you knew it was true, you just didn't know why it was true or how you knew it. That thought bothered him, but he pressed on anyway. It occurred to him to wonder if it was a dream, because he was getting a massive sense of deja vu. He shook that idea away, because one never wondered if it was a dream while really in a dream. Thrusting his hands into his pockets, he came to a halt at the edge of the group. "Hey," he said.

Staring at the ferrit that had appeared, Amelia blinked. "Wowww..." she muttered. "This is rather odd." She turned, hearing another boy walk up. "Um, hi." she said, standing on her tip-toes, but still unable to come to eye level. It was more neck-level than anything. "What brings you here?" Same as the others in the small group, the red-head looked framiliar. Maybe this whole group would come together faster than she thought...

The kafit turned to face William as he approached, giving up on the idea that they were only coming here coincidently. : You must be Dain then. : He snapped, though soon turned to face Amelia.
: Now for your turn, do the same as I told Zane, only imagine that yours is a fawn... : Dakah swung back onto the branch and shook, seemingly a little dizzy from the feat. : I am Dakah Semai, kafit. : He added, hearing the question on who he was.

Will shrugged, unsure how to answer that question. He himself didn't know the answer. "Curiosity, I guess," he muttered. That was the closest he could explain it without sounding crazy. As the strange creature turned towards him, Will's forehead creased in confusion. "What," he said indignantly, "are you, and what is this crap about 'Dain'?" "Okay," he added as an answer given to another boy answered one of his questions, "at least tell me why you think I'm called Dain."

Amelia grinned, and decided to let Dakah explain the whole other name thing. Shrugging, and remembering the talking bird - no, kafit, she reminded herself - had given her, obidently closed her eyes, and pictured a fawn - a light tan, with white spots on the rump, an elegant and slender shape, like the one she had seen at the outskirts of town one spring...

Hardly noticing the new arrival, much less the commands and questions being issued to others, Tyler stared at the ferret. It was right, but...not quite. The mask should be darker, the ears lined with white. There were streaks, he thought, dark, almost blue, running through the fur, contrasting with the plain grey coat currently present. His paws were white, and so they should be white now. He was sleeker, more shiny, and his nose should be light blue. As Tyler stared, imagining, the colors flitted across the animal's coat, moving and shifting until just balanced. There, he thought. That's what James is supposed to look like. ((Hope that's what was intended...If not, there's always the edit button.))

(Indeed ^^ I'll update the Character Information in a moment.)
"MAKE WAY!" A childish voice soon shouted, something large sliding into view and nearly banging into Dakah's tree. : Hm...Should have warned you about that... : "HI!" What was recognisable as a deer, seemed to grin and got up, trotting over to Amelia after having what seemed to be another telepathic conversation with Dakah. "You haven't changed much..." She announced, poking Amelia in the ribs with her snout, though it wasn't painful. "So, gonna name me?" Settling down eventually, the doe began to look around at the others. "Where's Tikian? And Hi James."
"I am a kafit." Dakah repeated, already annoyed with Will. "You are Dain, I'll explain later."

"My name is Will," he muttered insubordinately, though he kept his voice down mostly on account of a loud talking deer that had just come crashing towards the group. "It's on my birth certificate." That was not strictly true--the name on the certificate was William--but it was a whole lot closer than Dain. Or so Will thought. Things were getting crazier by the minute. He began to seriously consider the dream theory.

Tobee stepped back a bit, watching the scene unravel before him. There was a new guy, and two new animals that appeared basically from thin air. Talk about strange. Although the kafit never asked him anymore questions, at least he explained who he was. Not that Tobee knew what a kafit was, but it was a start.
"What--?" Tobee paused, reconfiguring the question in his head "How are they doing that?"

"The telekinetic partial links between human and animal, or familiar, has always been there. When one calls it's bonded, the telekinetic links string together and create what we kafit's call a 'Bio-telekinetic bond', calling the creature in such a fashion that they are teleported withing a 100 metre of the bio-telekinetic calling. Then, they simply return to their bonded. :
A first lesson for talking to Dakah, that was his shortened version, never ask for his long version. Blinking a few times, the kafit nodded to greet the deer, not really wanting to do much else for he still remembered the time she accidently kicked him into icy-cold water.

Amelia blinked, then laughed. "Hi there!" she said, patting the fawn on the head. Considering for a moment, she grinned. "Blossom. Perfect." The spots on her rump should be shaped in the pattern of a flower - a daisy, to be exact. Shining, vivid green eyes, not like the deep brown you see in the wild. A slightly darker shade of brown for the pelt. She stood there, smiling at her familiar, as she changed. She patted Blossom's now chocolate coat, grinning. "You remind me so much of... Me!"

Tyler stuck out his arm for James to climb on. "I...almost understood that," he said of Dakah's near-ramble on familiars. "I...I think he means that James, and the dear, they are related, somehow, and when we think about them, and they're close, they show up." Tyler paused for breath. "Who are you guys, anyway? Aside from just names."

"Obviously," said Will pointedly, "you all know something I don't, because I can't tell a thing that's going on. Is anyone going to explain why...this...is all happening?" He leaned back against the tree, looking very put-upon.

"Um, well...I'm not really sure myself," replied Tyler. "Kinda new myself...Apparently we all know, or rather knew, each other, in some other time, in some other way...Sorta like reincarnation. We knew each other in a previous life, and...well...it sounds crazier than the talking hawk, but I think we have some sort of power, something we have to do. Including," he indicated the bird "doing what he says."
