Nyssa stepped back out of the daze she'd been in and took in the scene around her. These dazes happen often, because she can really be out of it. He head was usually in the clouds. There was so much more people around her. At least three more people. She tossed her hair on her side, and said, "Uh... Okay, what's going on?" confused, and scratched her head. Maybe the bird hadn't talked after all, but it did seem kind of rambunxouis for a bird. She sighed, waithing for a reply.

Amelia sighed. "Basicaly what Tyler said." she said, shrugging. "We still have a long way to go in figuring things out." Scratching Blossom behind the ear, she grinned. "Either way, it's pretty cool. I mean, powers? This is the kind of stuff I read about in fantasy novels!"

"You're crazy," Will said in disbelief. "Reincarnation? I'm supposed to believe this?" He eyed the hawk with narrowed eyes. He was the only thing really keeping him from thinking this was all some big joke. He added to Amelia, "The whole point of fantasy is that it's not true."

: Ah, but this is reality. Fantasy is not what does not exsist, it is what is believed to not exsist. : The hawk gave a chuckle at that and clasped the front talons together, as though he was clapping in delight.
: Do not belive me? Think of a bat, one giant in size, but can shrink to normal stature. : He continued to stare the one known as Dain, never taking his eyes off him, though it was mainly to annoy him.
: For the last time, yes, I AM A TALKING BIRD! Urgh... : He was getting annoyed at Nyssa now, she was supposed to be one of the smarter ones, band wouldn't keep quiet on whether he was talking or not, even when everyone else was past that stage. He relaxed again, seeing as his talons were out-stretched and feathers puffed up.
: Sorry, T'is been a while... :

Amelia continued to smile, despite Dakah's little burst. "Nyessa, just get it through your head. This is real." Blossom looked up from some grass she had been munching on. "What she said." the fawn chirped, and returned to munching on some grass. "Same with you, Will. This is 100% real. I'll gladly pinch you to proove it." She grinned even wider at that.

She sighed. She didn't want to believe it. Talking bird, yes. Fine. That meant she wasn't entirely insane. Real. Maybe not. "Uhh, powers?" she asked. "Well, maybe I'm not the only insane one here," she said. She meant, COME ON?! Powers. Yay, beat up the bad guys. Live happily ever after. Cool. Uh, no. She loved reading, but she wasn't a character from a book.
She looked up at the talking bird and said, "Well, if this is so real, prove it." Yeah, good luck with that she thought. "Wait, nevermind," she said. No pinching.

: Prove it? Well for starters, I do not believe many hawks talk, but if you're one of those people who need to see it to believe it... : The hawk closed his eyes and spread out his wings, which made him look rather large compared to the fact he was a hawk. : It has been a while, I will try... :
The wings began to shrink slightly, the feathers melting together as Dakah muttered to himself. They soon became what was known as bat-like wings, while long, furry ears sprouted from Dakah's head. Feathers became fur and two fangs produced from his beak, though then he stopped.
: I'm afraid that is the best I can do, I am a therianthrope, but barely have any power left. : Returning to his 'true' form, Dakah sighed and returned to his relaxed posistion from before. : Is that enough proof? Or shall I go and fetch a Skimcha for you? : The last bit, of course, was a sarcastic answer, he was pretty sure they didn't want to meet any of them until they at least knew the basics.

Her eyes widened as Dakah did this. But then she said, "Um... Who?" Truly, it was enough proof. "Fine. I guess it's enough proof." Sighing, she said, "But still. A bit strange." Normally, she would've fainted. But still. She had just seen a bird morph into a bat, but it had been talking before. "OK," she said. "You have my attention." That was directed towards Will, because he had doubted it as well.
Her cell phone rang, but didn't pick it up, because she was so stunned. Reality was strange.

Tyler glared at Will. Uppity little snot. "It's either that or you're insane. Take you pick," he nearly snapped, very out of character. Will reminded him of his brother. Nyssa he had more tolerance for. She was more confused than cynical. And seeing Dakah turn into a bunny-bat seemed to have helped a bit. Truth be told, it had confirmed to Tyler that the "hawk" was a shapeshifter, something he had slightly suspected from the other day. He looked over at Amelia. "Did it take us this long to accept what Dakah was saying?" he asked with a bit of a grin. "What's a Skimca?" he asked the now-bird. "And a theri, a theri-thingy?"

Sighing, her phone rang again. And, yet again, she didn't bother to pick it up. She didn't plan to, either. Not unless it involved something along the lines of: her phone jumping out of her pocket, and jammed itself on her ear. Which seemed likely now. More likely then a talking bird, in her opinion.
She looked up at Dakah. "This is really, truly true?" she asked.

"Havn't you gotten that through your head yet!?" said Amelia, hitting herself in the forehead. "This is real." For good measure, she pinched Nyessa. "You can go now." she said, turning to Blossom. "Unless Dakah objects?" Suddenly curious, she turned to Dakah. "And anyway, what is a Skimca?"

As the cell phone rung, Dakah squawked and glared at Nyssa, thinking she was trying to scare him once more. : Well... : He finally answered, pointing a talon in the general direction of Cinake's mountains, which could just be seen in the distance. : They first came from there I believe, they are massive mutations of insects, and are equiped with a deadly assortment of weapons, both natural and 'man'-made. :
: As for a therianthrope, T'is a being that can change it's own shape to another, I believe you call them shapeshifters. Blossom, I do not believe you need to stay, but the others should probably arrive soon, so you might want to greet them. : Dakah shrugged, a habit he had picked up from the elementors in the past.

Will drew in a breath in surprise as Dakah morphed. This was either hallucination or real, and at this point he had to believe it was real. He wasn't imaginative enough for this to be in his mind. "Fine," he muttered finally. "I'll try this. A bat, you say? That can change size?" He closed his eyes and visualized a bat--the mouse-like body and finger-like limbs running through the leathery wings. He made quick adjustments in his mind, trying to make it look bigger.

Nyssa yelped while Amelia pinched her. "Ow!" she cried, sighing. "Yes, okay. It's real, and I'm not dreaming. Happy?" she said, practically foaming at the mouth. But really, it DID seem like a dream. Hawks talk, and turn into bats? Uh, no. But yes, reality could be but this was fantasy stuff.

"Um...Er...Hm...H-Hello?" A rather timid voice was heard from the right of the group, a small figure fluttering over to Dain and landing on the branch above his head. "Um...Ah...Hi..." It repeated, glancing at the all. It was, in short a bat, though it's tail was long and whip-like, similar to Dakah's.

Will stared up at the bat. "All right, I believe you," he said reluctantly. It looked similar to what he had imagined--except for the tail. That bit was odd. "What's your name?" he asked the bat. "Um....uh, I think you're supposed to determine that," said the bat. "Great," Will muttered. He had never been good at naming. His last pet, a rat, had gone through life named Rodent. "You honestly don't have a name?" "No..." He fell silent and thought. Finally, he decided to give it a name he knew, through none other than the fount of random information that was his father, meant fiery. His father had often joked that they should have named their child Ignacio, a fact which had stuck in his head. "Ignacio. Or I guess I'm going to end up calling you Iggy. It's shorter." "Thanks, Dain," Iggy said, and stayed silent for a few moments. Eventually he ventured, "Do I have...any markings?" Will thought about it. There was an exceptional amount of creativity being forced upon him that day, but somehow an idea quickly came to the surface of his mind. The bat's fur aquired golden streaks and swirls amid the brown. Its eyes were dark, each edged with more of the gold fur so that they contrasted strongly with Iggy's face. Iggy tilted his head and looked down at his body. He seemed pleased, though he kept his silence.
((Heh. Wanted to get it all down while my muse is with me.))

Arari sighed as she walked through the dense trees, annoyed she had to take this path. It wasn't her fault, she had been followed, and the girl couldn't think of any other way to lose them. Well, she might not of been followed, but those girls got pretty close to her and she just couldn't take the chance. For all she knew they could have been those Elementors.... sometimes it didn't feel so good knowing she couldn't trust anyone. Invisible Arari, Arie could exsist, but no one would ever really know her..... no, they couldn't. They deffinately couldn't know about Arari. Her head felt fluffy, like someone had covered it in feathers and marshmellows, she wondered what she could possibly be reading 'Acorn, acorn, acorn, acorn, food, acorn, hide, food, people, take, food, acorn, acorn, acorn......' She sighed, shaking her head..... a squirrel? The thoughts continued, 'Acorn, acorn, food, mate, acorn, acorn, food, food, acorn, hide, acorn, acorn, rule world, acorn, people, slaves , get, acorn, acorn acorn....." It faded, and she took a mental note to stay clear of squirrels for a while.
About fifteen minutes later she neared a place where the trees began thinning, stopping. She looked around cautiously, sure there was someone else, calmly she faded into the shadows, spotting the group. She recognised most of them from school, most, particularly as 'Talking Hawk Inc.' as she remembered from a little easedropping she had done.Sure this would be interesting she waited, trying to make out their conversation, or, atleast what they were doing. She did notice some pretty strange animals, but she had seen stranger, and thought nothing of it. Actaully, she was releaved, thinking they might have the same bond as she did with Aria.

Urgh, thought Tyler. Want to steer clear of the Skimcha-bugs, then. "Okay, so...there's four of us here. Is that it?" he asked. James answered him. "No, mate, there's a couple more. Six total, if memory serves." The blue-streaked ferret sniffed the air. "Don't smell anyone else yet." ((can't think of anything else...))

:Yes, Six of us, Five here. : Dakah nodded at Zane and James, before greeting the bat that had appeared. : There is one other, Mia would probably remember her, Tikian. She is...elsewhere though, I can not find her. : Sighing slightly, a shake of the head helped Dakah catch sight of Arari with his keen vision. : Tikian!...Oh...: Thinking it was the to-be water elementor at first, he accidently yelled out to her, instantly regretting it.
: Normal Mode. : He added to the animal bondeds, if memory served, they were able to make a quick get-away through their own means, or at least hide from view long enough to escape. Dakah himself shuffled into the leaves, quickly dropping his tail down to James to allow him to climb onto the branch before the girl came to close.

Her ears twitched, feeling the same squishy-feeling she got when she would read minds /Tikian!/ It had yelled at her. Tikian. One of the Elelmentors. Did this mean that the Elementors were close by? How had they done that? If they were here... then who... alll that was here besides her.... where the kids. Was it possible? Cautiously, Arari took a step back, trying to avoid their attention. She wasn't sure, but a clue was better than nothing. She'd have to watch them. If it really was them this would be given to Sin-ark. It was to dangerous to not let him know if these were really the Elementors.

Amelia watched as Blossom darted away. "Sorry! Gotta go!" she yelled over her shoulder, and then running into a tree. "Yowch!" she squealed, shook her head, and continued to run. "Wha-?" squeaked Amelia, watching the fawn's retreating behind. "As for Maya, yes, I do remember. But still. What the heck is going on that these little guys have to run?" she said, referring to the animals.

"Aw geez, I didn't even smell her," James muttered. "Gotta run mate." He dashed into the tree, whiffing through Dakah's tailfeathers. "What's going on?" Tyler looked to where he thought James had run to. "Didn't smell who?" He glanced at the other humans. "I don't know. Any ideas?"

Iggy squeaked in surprise, said "Farewell," and rather abruptly winged up through the tree branches. Will watched his flight for a moment and asked, "Something bad?" It seemed the most logical reason for their animals all to run off. He fixed his gaze on Dakah, pensive and beginning to feel a little annoyed. There were a lot of things he was being forced to accept just now, and it was more than a little weird. Especially now that it seemed likely that something unpleasant had found them.

Arari faded back into the shadows as she saw the animals running off, paranoia overwhelming her. Sure they were coming after her. She no longer saw them as creatures like Aria. No, now there was a chance they were followers of the Elementors. Once she had gotten far enough she broke out in a mad dash, nimbly avoiding fallen leaves and twigs. She wouldn't let them get her. No, she couldn't let them get her. If they caught her..... well, she didn't want to think about that.

: Good grief... : He shook his head as Blossom collided with a tree, loosening his grip on James as he did. : I do not know how she would ever be mistaken for a graceful deer... : Dakah then switched his attention to Arari, catious as she ran.
: I believe she saw us...we best make sure others do not find out so soon... : He then tightened the grip on James and suddenly jerked his tail in Arari's direction, loosening his grip as he did, hoping James would fly off.
It was then he remembered James might have forgotten how to use the wind to fly, and nervously laughed as he gazed at the girl, forgetting to check whether James was still clinging to his tail.

Amelia sighed and shook her head as she heared Dakah's comment. "Well, you'll never see me being qualified as an antisocial, normal person, now will you?" she said, grinning. "Anyway, what's the problem with her? I recognize her from school, but nothing else."

"Yaaaaaah!" cried the ferret, losing his tenuous grip on the tufted tail. "Dakah you're gonna pay for..." His voice faded off as he flew in the direction of the girl. Aw, crimeny, hope I can still do this, he thought. Be a lot easier if I knew Zane would help if I fell... A breeze seemed to almost catch him, slowing and lengthening his fall enough that he had a chance of catching the girl. Still, he rolled as he hit the ground. That bird is sogonna pay...
Staring at the flying ferret, Tyler hoped that they were like cats, they always landed feet-down. "I didn't recognize her," he said. "'Course, that isn't saying much." Far too antisocial to recognize most kids in my grade, much less the ones younger than me, he mentally added.

Iggy, who had turned a complete circle by accident while flying off, distracted by how thick and smelly the air was these days, clung to a branch somewhere between Arari and Dain and the others. He watched as the ferret flew past him, whispered, "James, you all right?" He squinted to see James, then sheepishly employed echolocation when his rather myopic eyes didn't suffice. He noticed he had slowed, and that was enough to satisfy him. He adjusted his grip on the branch and hoped the girl did not, for whatever reason, notice him. It seemed unlikely with James floating towards her.
((Eh. Sorry, I'm having a little trouble with writer's block still. All I could come up with was a rather useless Iggy scene. >.<))

"Eep!" Arari exclaimed as something hit her leg, confuzed she looked back, spying the ferret. She frowned, "What are you doing here, little fella?" She said, gingerly scooping it up, "You shouldn't be out here....." Arari stared at the markings dotting the ferret, nodding slowly, "Hm..... oh.... lets see.... eh, no time for that now.... come on," She said, continuing to run off still craddling the ferret, "You'll be safe, don't worry... I'l make sure you're safe. I recognise these markings....." She gave a fainted smile, legs feeling sore from all the runnng, but she went on, "Yes... a book somewhere...." (Hehe...... Arari accidentally kidnapped James.... .....)

James heard Iggy, but couldn't exactly respond, what with the girl clutching him to her chest. Dakah is so so so so SO dead, he nearly muttered. But she said something about recognizing him. That probably wasn't good. He hadn't exactly been out in a while, and anyone (besides the Elementor's et al.) who knew him should be dead. Maybe speaking would be a fair idea... He was jolted as the girl ran faster. He could just bypass the risk, try and wiggle out...James began to writhe, scratching the girl's arms. ((Oh no, an excuse for a rescue! perhaps...))
